Savor SA’s Dining Scene

I recently met a wine writer who praised San Antonio’s dining scene as being the best in the state. He rattled off a half-dozen or so favorite restaurants to bolster his point.  And this was from a man who lives in Austin and travels to Dallas, Houston and beyond on a regular basis.

He received no argument from me, and my colleagues would agree.

We know the Alamo City is the queen of Tex-Mex. But it has so much more to offer, from the bistros to the bean burgers.

And we want to share it all with you.

So, to help you spend your dining dollar wisely and to help you plan your weekend, we are now offering restaurant reviews each Thursday. Check back here each week for more of what’s happening on the city’s dining scene.

If you have suggestions on places we should review, let us know. We always appreciate tasting the treasures that makes the city’s restaurant scene special.

We went to Catalanos Pizzeria in Cibolo and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food although finding where the front door was a problem. Maybe due to the road construction, I don’t know, but it was worth braving the torn up streets!
