Copa Devotes a Night to the Spice Trade

Print Friendly

A pair of special dinners are being offered in the coming week:

Copa Wine Bar is planning a wine dinner devoted to spices and cuisines from Morocco to India. The multi-course meal will be at 7 p.m. May 27.

The menu begins with Charamoula Marinated Grilled Tuna Lettuce Wraps, followed by Charbroiled Chicken Tikka with cauliflower pachadi and naan. Beef Kabob in Shwarma Spices with basmati rice and grilled tomato will precede grilled figs, Greek yogurt, honey and pistachios paired with mint tea.

Matching wines will be offered with the meal. “The only reason we don’t include the wine pairings is because Jeff (Bridges) is constantly looking for the perfect accompaniment to each dish,” Angie Bridges says. “But there is a wine pairing with each!”

Green Vegetarian Cuisine, 1017 N. Flores, will host a fundraising dinner for Primarily Primates at 6:30 p.m. May 28. The featured guest speaker will be animal rights activist Don Barnes. A vegan buffet will be offered.

Tickets are $25 a person and include dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks. Cash bar will be provided.
