Grilled Figs on Rosemary Skewers

The scent of rosemary complements figs, and in this recipe a hint of smoke from the grill and a honey-lemon glaze also contribute to the sensational combination.

Grilled Figs

6 rosemary stems
6 figs, cut in half
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Skewer the fig halves on rosemary stems. Combine the butter, lemon juice and honey. Brush figs with this mixture. Grill for 3-4 minutes over hot coals, or until the fruit is lightly browned. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
