Texas Pride Barbecue, 2980 E. Loop 1604 S., is hosting a dance and auction to benefit the family of a boy who was killed in a recent dirt bike accident.
Live music, barbecue and auction items including a beach house vacation will be included in a benefit to help pay hospital bills and the funeral of 14-year-old Dillon Lee Roberts from 4 p.m.-midnight on Saturday at the barbecue joint.

A DJ will play music at 4 p.m. followed at 7 by honky-tonking country artist Jack Higginbotham.
The $15 tickets include a barbecue dinner and the dance.
Live and silent auction items include a week at a beach house in Crystal Beach near Galveston; an air-conditioning unit from Jon Wayne Heating and Air; dove and feral hog hunts; an electric gate opener; jewelry; brunch at the Omni La Mansion Del Rio; wine and gift baskets; and a hat from Herb’s Hat Shop.
