Print Friendly

A San Antonio tradition, the Lebanese Festival at St. George Maronite Church is next weekend.

Fried chickpea patties, or falafel, are served sandwich style with a delicious yogurt sauce.

Join the celebrants for Lebanese food and pastries, music, dancing, a bazaar, children’s carnival area and more. The Lebanese Dance Troupe will perform and there will be a raffle and door prizes.

This is an indoor and outdoor festival, so you have plenty of room to roam and area for kids to play. Enjoy homemade foods such as falafel (fried chickpea patties), stuffed grape leaves and grilled shish kebab, plus  desserts and drinks.

The festival hours are:

Friday, Nov. 5: 6-11 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 6: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 7, Noon- 6 p.m.

Traditional Lebanese dancers will entertain.

My husband and I are interested in attending your festival. Could you please give us the name or names of the nearest hotels to the church? Thank you,

    Mary George

    • Hi Mary George. I believe you best bet would be to call the phone number — it’s on the website. They can give you an idea of what hotels are in the vicinity of the church. Sounds like a great weekend, doesn’t it? Thanks for reading. BW
