Finding a good Sunday brunch in San Antonio has always been something of a challenge.
Maybe that’s part of the reason brunches at Restaurant Insignia, at the Fairmount Hotel, 410 S. Alamo St., have had such success. In fact, the brunch has been popular enough that they will now be offering it on Saturdays, too, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., says Crystal Dady. She and her husband, chef Jason Dady, are proprietors of the downtown restaurant.
Another reason for the success might be the unusual offerings. The Saturday brunch will also include the 13 varieties of $1 Mimosas, a Bloody Mary bar and a full brunch menu. Offerings include Blue Crab and Cream Cheese Stuffed Crepes with Citrus Cream, Egg Pie and Mascarpone and Nutella Stuffed French Toast with Caramelized Bananas and Cinnamon Chantilly.
