A new vodka from San Antonio is on its way to liquor stores. The brand is called Cinco, and it’s made with amber wheat and water naturally filtered through the Cordova Cream limestone found beneath the city.

The hand-crafted vodka is distilled and bottled by Azar Distilling, LLC. It should be in stores by Fiesta next month.

“Our goal is to be the domestic, ultra-premium vodka of choice,” said Richard N. (Trey) Azar III, executive officer of Azar Distilling. “We will compete head-to-head against all ultra-premium wheat-based vodka imports such as Grey Goose, Ketel One and Belvedere. I have no doubt that we will end up on top.”

Azar has more than a decade of experience in the wine and spirits industry. To create and develop what is poised to be a legendary brand, Azar has teamed up with co-founder and chief marketing officer Steve Dean, who has more than 20 years of experience in advertising and brand building.
