Beer’s here. Beginning Sunday, the first San Antonio Week Week, running concurrently with the American Craft Beer Week, begins at noon at the Pearl Brewery.

A proposed law would help brewpubs.

The event at the Pearl is actually a popular culminating event of Culinaria, which began earlier this week, Burgers, BBQ & Beer. Other highlights of Beer Week:

Monday: Head over to the H-E-B Alon Market at 6 p.m. for a tutorial and samples of types of beers, with certified Cicerone Brian Tarver.

Tuesday: At 9 a.m., hop on the bus for one of two trips leaving from Blue Star Brewing Co. to the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner.

Also, sample home brews, along with Alamo Golden Ale at Brew it Up San Antonio.

Wednesday: Blue Star Day offers an afternoon tasting with Tarver. That evening, check out the annual King’s Feast barleywine-style ale tasting with chef-prepared meal.

Thursday: the Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling is at the Boardwalk on Bulverde, along with food trucks.

Friday: Location is New Braunfels and the introduction from Faust Brewing Co. of three new house-made beers and new food menu. A.J.’s Alehouse nearby also will be pouring Texas beers.
