Stop for dinner at Max’s and mention the anniversary special, and the chef will send out one of his pork and cotija-stuffed piquillo peppers, served with chipotle aioli and cilantro chimichurri, along with a half glass of prosecco.
“We want to spend our birthday celebrating with the people who made it possible,” said Jerry Lasco, founder of MAX’s parent company, Lasco Enterprises, LLC.
MAX’s opened its doors (and its Black Door retail wine sales concept) last year, serving gourmet comfort food and affordable wines. The atmosphere is laid back and Max’s is open for lunch, happy hour, dinner, Champagne brunch and late night noshing.
Max’s Wine Dive is at 340 East Basse Road #101. Call them at 210-444-9547.
