Santa is coming to San Antonio for a series of breakfasts

Santa is making a few stops for breakfast in the area to find out what boys and girls want for Christmas this year.

He’s visiting the Hyatt Hill Country, 9800 Hyatt Resort Drive, for breakfast at the Springhouse Café from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 26 and Dec. 3, 10 and 17.

There will be a special holiday menu featuring a spiced cider and hot chocolate station with chocolate candy cane stirrers, marshmallows and cinnamon sticks; an omelets, pancake and waffle bar with gingerbread pancakes, Abelskivers and waffles; as well as favorites, such as bacon and sausage, potato hash, cinnamon French toast, cheese blintzes, house-made sweet potato biscuits, scrambled eggs and chilaquiles, fresh fruit and yogurt bar, oak-smoked salmon with bagels, cereals and granola, and assorted pastries.

The cost is $19.50 for adults (13 and older), $18 for seniors and free for children 12 and under with an adult buffet purchase.

Reservations are not necessary. For information, call (210) 647-1234.

Downtown at Aldaco’s in Sunset Station, 100 E. Hoefgen, the restaurant is hosting a pair of breakfasts with Santa from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 10 and 17.

There will be a special children’s buffet and an adult buffet, along with cookie decorating and a chance to get photos with the jolly old elf.

The restaurant is using this opportunity to raise food for the San Antonio Food Bank. If you bring a donation of some nonperishables,  you will receive a free photo souvenir in return.

The cost for children under 10 is $7.50 or for adults, $11.95.

Call 210-222-0561 for reservations.
