On Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., you can enroll in the Culinary Institute of America’s weekend cooking class and learn to prepare simple yet delicious bistro classics. These include beef stew with red wine, a creamy leek and cheese tart, and chocolate mousse. You’ll also enjoy chef demonstrations of omelets, crêpes, and sandwiches such as the croque monsieur, all from the pages of the CIA’s Bistros and Brasseries.
