Austin, Texas investment group Texas Zebo has announced plans to open the artisan wood-fired pizza and craft beer restaurant, Stella Public House at San Antonio’s Blue Star Arts Complex, and also the coffeehouse and lounge, Halcyon.
Stella Public House: The artisan wood-fired pizza and craft beer restaurant ‘Stella Public House’ will debut at the Blue Star on March 1 (at 1414 S. Alamo #103 just off South Alamo Street).
Italian for ‘star’, Stella will offer a high quality, locally-sourced menu served in a casual atmosphere. Stella’s “Farm to Pizza” concept is centered on Farm to Table food practices. The star of Stella’s menu will be Texas-sourced Napoletana style pizza baked in a Modena oven. Shared plates, house-made cheeses, fresh salads and comfort foods made with locally sourced ingredients will also be found on the restaurant’s seasonal menu. Stella’s beer list will consist of over 20 rotating taps showcasing craft beers from across the nation alongside an approachable, internationally curated wine list. See more on Facebook here.
Halcyon Southtown: On February 1, the coffeehouse/lounge Halcyon (1414 S. Alamo #101) will open in the just next door to Stella. This urban concept combines the comfort and convenience of a coffeehouse by day with a laid back bar and lounge atmosphere by night. Halcyon will present a similar look and feel to Austin’s HalcyonCoffee|Bar|Lounge, which first opened in 2002.
At Halcyon, visitors will be able to enjoy top- notch espresso drinks as well as breakfast, lunch and late night selections prepared with the freshest ingredients. Weekends will showcase hearty brunch options. A full bar featuring craft cocktails and Halcyon’s signature espresso-based concoctions will also be home to a diverse wine and beer selection.
