The Culinaria 5K Wine & Beer Run is back by popular demand and kicks off events for spring 2013.
This third annual race will take place on the roads and pathways in and around The Shops at La Cantera, situated at the edge of the Texas Hill Country. The event is March 23 and begins at 8 a.m. There will be an array of pre- and post-race festivities for runners as well as entertainment, great food and more. Tech shirts will be given to the first 1,000 registered runners, so, move fast. More information on registering here.
Celebrate completing a 5K afterward by raising a few toasts with some of the wines and beer that will be served.
Going Culinaria Green
Culinaria is giving you the opportunity to Go Culinaria Green.
What does this mean? The Culinaria Center and Gardens for Food, Nature & Agricultural Education is accepting donations to aid the growth of different projects within the facility.
In correlation with the 5K Wine & Beer Run, runners will be able to join the Green Team. This team will help out with the purchase of various trees and plants throughout the gardens. For a donation of $100 in addition to your registration fee (through your own funds or through fundraising with friends and family), you will help fund the garden’s ability to bear fruit and vegetables at the Culinaria facility. The plants and trees will continue to yield crops season after season, proving that your gift will be one that keeps on giving.
The team, as donors, will receive specific race shirts that signify your special donation and support of the community. The shirt will be green to let everyone know that you are a donor – and each team member will be recognized at the race.
