Nearly 300 teams of the world’s best barbecuers compete in this championship event.
There is live music throughout the day, shopping and plenty of fine Texas barbecue to sample.
Entries to the different categories are judged Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturday. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cookoff is sanctioned by the Texas Gulf Coast Bar-B-Que Cookers Association. Winners are announced at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening.
The 2013 Bar-B-Que Cookoff will feature live entertainment by Cory Morrow on the main stage beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26.
Tickets for the annual Bar-B-Que Cookoff can be purchased by calling 210-225-5851 or by visiting the Rodeo Ticket Office located between the Southwest entrance to the AT&T Center and the Freeman Coliseum entrance.
Pre-sale tickets may be purchased for $5 on Friday and $10 on Saturday. A weekend pass is also available for $13. Pre-sale tickets are available at the rodeo ticket office until 5 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25. After that time, tickets can only be purchased at the cook-off and the price is $5 for Friday and $15 for Saturday. Children 12 and under are free. Active and retired military are free with a valid military ID. Tickets for the event may also be purchased at the entrance gate at SeaWorld San Antonio. Tickets are not available online for purchase. Parking for this event is free.
