First course: Lobster soft taco, Bluebonnet Farms mixed greens, chile and lime calamari, chopped romaine, wild mushroom and goat cheese flatbread, spring squash and chicken soup, house cured salmon toast, deviled eggs and P&B meatballs. Azuca Nuevo Latino, 713 S. Alamo St., (210) 225-5550 — The Mother’s Day lunch is from noon to 3:30 p.m. The menu includes omelets made to order, Latin spiced pork loin, peel-and-eat shrimp, shrimp and penne, beef medallions with portobello mushrooms, chicken and artichoke ragout, roasted red pepper quiche, cheese blintzes with blueberry compote, guacamole, heirloom tomato salad, ceviche and an array of desserts. The price is $39 for adults, $30 for seniors 65 and older, and $18 for children ages 3-12.

Bin 555 at the Alley, 555 W. Upstairs in the dining room, the regular lineup of Akaushi beef, custom cuts of prime aged corn-fed beef, seafood and table-side desserts flambé will be offered. In honor of Mother’s Day, all mothers will receive a complimentary yellow rose.

Pasta: Orzo “mac ‘n’ cheese” and build-your-own pasta and gnocchi. La Fogata, 2427 Vance Jackson Road, (210) 340-1337 — The Mother’s Day celebration will actually last three days, May 10-12. For Mother’s Day, the restaurant is featuring a special: a tilapia fillet topped with Parmesan sauce, served with three spicy jumbo shrimp, grilled vegetables and white rice. The entrée includes a dessert of churros with Bavarian cream filling, garnished with chocolate hearts and whipped cream. Every mother will be welcomed to the restaurant with a red carnation. La Fogata’s regular menu will also be available throughout the weekend.
