Do you love slivers of serrano ham or the spicy burn of some coppa? Then you may want to check out the wide selection of charcuterie that the folks at GauchoGourmet, 935 Isom Road, will present on Saturday, June 22. It’s a tasting they’re calling the King of Charcuterie, and it runs from 10.30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

People will be able to taste GauchoGourmet’s entire array of Italian, Spanish and French artisanal, imported and domestic charcuterie products, some from such  recognized producers as:

  • Salumeria Biellese, which has been making authentic Old World-style Italian salumi since 1925 in New York City;
  • La Española, one of the pioneer importers and marketers of Spanish products in the U.S. and manufacturer of premium Spanish-style sausages and charcuterie;
  • Fabrique Délices, a maker of traditional French charcuterie products for more than 20 years; and
  • Hudson Valley, producer of award-winning foie gras and other delectable duck products.

The list of products to be sampled includes Porcini Barbera Salame, Sopressata Toscana, Napolitana, Nduja, Sweet, Spicy and Wild Boar Cacciatorini, Coppa, Finochietta, Mangalitsa Sopressata, Wagyu Bresaola, Petit Jesu, Prosciutto San Daniele Secolo Limited Edition, Jamon Serrano, Spanish Sobrasada, Chorizo Soria and Pamplona, Paleta Ibérico, Ibérico Salchichon and Ibérico Chorizo.

Also on the sampling menu: fresh foie gras torchon, foie gras trouffle mousse, duck rillettes and several different patés. Fresh bread, refreshments and complimentary wine will also be available.
