The Spurs are playing the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, in case you’ve been on another planet for the past week, and plenty of restaurants and bars across the city are planning specials to enjoy while watching the game on one of their large screen TVs.
The wine bar is offering its first burger, which always gets our attention. But they didn’t stop there.
Owners Jeff and Angie Bridges are calling this special the Cinco Burger, in honor of the team playing for its fifth title.
They take an 8-ounce choice Angus beef patty and stuff it with what they’re calling the Big 3 Cheese combo: French Brie, provolone and fontina. But they’re not done with it at that point. They then top the patty with a roasted poblano sauce and Fritos. Fries are on the side.
The burger is available Tuesday and Thursday during the games.
Sounds like it be even better with a robust red wine or a stout beer on the side.
So, what else can we say but join the chorus: Go, Spurs, Go!
