Starting Monday September 16, GauchoGourmet will be selling fresh, all natural and Slow Food certified artisanal sausages brought in from New York’s Salumeria Biellese, also known as ‘Sausage Maker to the Stars.’
The company is one of the most recognized producers of sausages, salame and salumi in the U.S.
The selection of fresh sausages includes prior customer favorites like the sweet and hot Italian sausage, exclusively made from Berkshire hog meat from the Tri-State area, as well as Portuguese style linguisa and Polish style kielbasa.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, GauchoGourmet will also offer the mild Italian Sausage and the Chicken Jalapeño sausage from the grill for $6.50 each from 10.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. to eat in or take out in addition to other menu items.
A special feature will be the Chicken Jalapeño sausage, which was developed by Salumeria Biellese’s Marc Buzzio in collaboration with Chef Bobby Flay and which has quickly developed to one of the biggest sellers. Bobby Flay approached Marc Buzzio to create a grilling sausage with a “Latin flair” and some spiciness, and after exchanging some ideas and trying out different recipes, Bobby loved the outcome and uses this sausage in several of his restaurants: great flavors of jalapeño and cilantro with a good kick.
Customers will be able to purchase these fresh sausages by the pound at GauchoGourmet’s deli counter. Supplies are limited.
