The festival promises some delectable events that will please your palate, offering more than 40 events over the course of three days in downtown Austin. And, you can also come and support our San Antonio chefs who will be participating. Attendees can experience grilling demonstrations, interactive fire pits helmed by an all-star lineup of Texas chefs, panel discussions, Grand Tasting tents offering food, wine and cocktail tastings, live music, book signings, and much more. Expect to see celebrity chefs like Graham Elliot, Tim Love, Tyson Cole, Andrew Zimmern, Rick Bayless, Richard Blais, Paul Qui and Monica Pope. Taste some of their award-winning foods without having to travel far and wide. An hour-plus drive and a “Taste” or “Savory” pass in hand, will get you a great stay-cation. This year there is a brand new addition of a Feast Under the Stars, hosted at Austin’s Butler Park. This pre-Festival dinner will be a separately ticketed event, held Thursday, April 24. Feast Under the Stars is an intimate, outdoor celebration featuring five Texas chefs preparing an al fresco dinner. The collaborative, family-style menu will be prepared by chefs Tim Love; Tyson Cole; Kent Rathbun (Abacus); Chris Shepherd (Underbelly); and Jodi Elliott(Bribery). Also, we San Antonians can support our local chef’s like Jason Dady (Jason Dady Restaurant Group), Jesse Perez (Arcade Midtown Kitchen), John Russ (Luke) and Stefan Bowers (Feast), all representing the Alamo City with pride and plates that are sure to make us proud. The complete list of programming, including panel discussions, cooking demonstrations and more, will be announced on February 25, 2014. Please visit the festival website here.
