Lagniappe Today Comes to Boardwalk on Bulverde

Lagniappe Today opens Friday.

The latest food truck to come to Boardwalk on Bulverde will be offering a taste of New Orleans.

Lagniappe Today, a venture between Joseph Larry and Suzanne Jackson, opens today. It will offer the likes of Yumbo Gumbo, Ja Ja Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee Pistolette,  Zydeco Red Beans and Rice, and Langostino Louisiana “Lobster Mac and Cheese.” The menu will alternate.

If the name of the last dish doesn’t have you drooling, you’re reading the wrong website.

“The French word Lagniappe (LAN-yap),  ‘giving something extra just because,’ encompasses our business and personal philosophy, which includes sharing in good times and times that will be better,” the truck’s website says. “Lagniappe Today offers ‘Something Special for San Antonio, supporting those in need by participating in fundraising events in the local area.”
